Johnny Leon Muldoon, 58, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2012 in a local hospital. Son of Merlyn and Inez Muldoon. Born on August, 18, 1953 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was of Catholic Faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Merlyn and mother, Inez, Brothers Charles Muldoon, Lonnie Muldoon, and Sister Amata Colley.
Survivors include his son John Muldoon and daughter-in-law Audra, the joy of his life his two grandsons, Zachary and Benjamin. Brothers, Joe Muldoon and wife Nancy, Merl Muldoon and wife Monty, Buddy Muldoon and wife Wanda, Mike Muldoon and wife Mollie, Tommy Muldoon and wife Pauline, Alfred Muldoon and wife Glenna. Sisters, Ann Hand Livingston, and Mary Jane Hazen. Johnny also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Johnny was a Hot Springs business man and owner of H&H Bail Bond. He was a member of the Arkansas Professional Bail Association. Johnny was retired from the United States Post Office. He served in the United States Navy. Johnny was a member of the Elks Lodge #380, the Hot Springs Showmen's Association, and assisted with the Annual Christmas for Kids Foundation.
Johnny was very active as a coach and volunteer at the Hot Springs Boys and Girls club baseball program through the years. He instilled his love for the club in his son John and grandchildren, Zach and Ben. He always felt it was important to give back to the Boys Club because of how much it gave to him as a young boy. He never turned anyone away that was in need of help. Johnny will always be loved and missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home, Wednesday February 1, 2012 between 6-8 P.M.
Services will be held the following day Thursday February 2, 2012 at 10 A.M. in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home.
The Family would like to express a special Thanks to, Dr. Randy Hill, Dr. Robert Muldoon, Johnny's special friend Cheryl, and the nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Hospital.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Hot Springs, 109 West Belding Hot Springs, AR 71901.
