Jon David Kindy, 38, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 16, 2010. Mr. Kindy was born in Winston-Salem, NC on December 28, 1971, to David A. and the late Merna H. Kindy. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1994, he was employed by HP in Roseville, CA, before moving to Fort Collins in 1998. In Fort Collins he worked for HP and Intel, and was currently employed by AMD. Jon was preceded in death by his mother, Merna Hoylman Kindy. He is survived by his father, David A. (Anita) Kindy; his sister, Joanna (Ernie) Lookabill; his brother, Jeremy D. (Jennifer) Kindy; and three nephews, Daniel, Timothy, and Joel Kindy, all of Winston-Salem, NC; his "adopted" family in Fort Collins, Jim and Iris McCormick, Elliott and Grace and many special friends in Fort Collins and beyond. The family and friends will receive friends Thursday evening, May 20 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525. A Memorial Service will be held at Immanuel Community Church in Fort Collins on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins. A memorial service will be held in Winston-Salem, NC in the near future. The family requests that, instead of flowers, memorials be sent in Jon's memory to Advance Him ministry; www.advancehim.org. Family and friends may view the online obituary, sign the guestbook, and send their condolences at www.resthavencolorado.com.
