Jose B. Mallari, 74, died May 8, 2011, at home with his family by his side in Virginia Beach, VA. A viewing will be held on Thursday and Friday, May 12-13, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel. A Mass will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church at 11 a.m. He was born March 19, 1937 in San Antonio, Lubao, Pampanga, P.I. to Dimas and Alexandra Mallari. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1959. He married Erlinda deLeon in April 1963. He retired from the Navy in 1984. He worked for NAB/NEX from 1984 until the time of his illness. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time gardening. He is survived by his beloved wife, Erlinda; children, Lani (Walter), Regi, Roy, Jean, Luci (Manny), Jo, Jun (Gina); and his beloved grandchildren, Shani, Aaron, Jonathan, Lynnsey, Jose III, Kayla, Javier, Teo, and Gabe.
