Funeral service for Josefa L. Chargualaf, 67, will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m., at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mrs. Chargualaf, wife of Jose Meno Chargualaf, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Born on January 24, 1945 in Agana, Guam, she was a daughter of the late Ernesto and Maria Pablo Lazaro.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years; sons, Joseph, John, Jerard, Jeffrey; daughters, Jeralyn, Jolynn, Janet; daughter-in-law, Alicia; grandchildren, Joey, Jaylin, Anthony, Kevin, Jordan, Briana, Jayson, Jeffrey, Alana, Luke, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Kailani, Angelo; brother, Ernesto and sisters, Luisa and Asuncion. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Patricia and Josefa.
