After a courageous year battling with colon cancer, "Jojo" passed away peacefully in Pomerado, San Diego, California at the age of 52. He was born and brought up in Imus, Cavite, Philippines. He was the second to the eldest son of Ernesto and Belen Crisostomo. He obtained his degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology, Manila, Philippines and worked as a Slot Machine Supervisor in Casino Filipino under the management of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Philippines.

Jojo will be remembered for he touched the lives of many people with his hobbies in electronics and maintained his trademark sense of making people understand situations all the way to the end. He was always there for his children, making one-on-one time when needed. He was a wonderful parent; many mentioned his kindness and his considerate nature. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends

Jojo leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Gracelyn A. Crisostomo; his children, Joselito "Jonjon," Jenilyn, Catherine and his son-in-law Vincent; his parents, Ernesto and Belen; his sister Ivy and his brothers Fernando and Alfredo; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, dear relatives and friends.

We were once a simple and happy family, nothings important but the company of one another. My dad was a quite type and very observant person. He may look stubborn but deep inside we know, that he tries his best to express his feelings for us. His gentleness, kindness, and determination, are what we admire and appreciate the most. Together, we feel so comfortable, that we don't have to speak that much to accommodate our needs.
But then, on December 18, 2011, just like any ordinary day, the day when I was about to surprise him my Christmas gift, which is an electronic keyboard in able for him to play his last music before he dies, everything went so fast from the moment we saw him in lying on the floor of the apartment, the time when we rush him in Pomerado hospital, the time when he fights for his life, up until he have his last breath… and now I sit again in front of that electronic keyboard and wonder, how am I going to give him my Christmas present now?..

I remember when I asked him what he wants for Christmas, and he told me a very simple but striking response, all he wants was just to be injected with tranquilizer, and never woke up again so he can never feel pain anymore. This is the reason why, when I saw him in the hospital few minutes after he died, I just hug and kiss him, arrange his bed and wash his face as if he was just peacefully sleeping. That time I never leave his side, especially when my sister told me, that the last word they heard from him was he was looking out for me, he was wondering if im ok despite of his condition…. To be honest, I’ve always been dreaming of hearing this words from him, because I know, that’s the only way for him to tell me that he loves me. Some people might take it for granted but for me that is the most beautiful thing a daughter or son could ever heard from their dad.

Daddy all we want for Christmas is you, but all we want for you is an endless peace within your mind and soul. I believe God has a reason for everything, and I believe that in God’s time, we will see each other again. We may be carrying now our silent tears over words left unsaid, deeds left undone, but most of it was because of all the sweet memories you have shared with us. We will never forget how you made us feel love in your own unique way. We will stay strong and move on together like what you have always wanted. Goodbye and Merry Christmas to you my very first dance. We’ll be seeing you again in beyond, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll be able to celebrate Christmas all together again.

Well last Thursday Dec12 ipinablow up ko ang picture ni Jojo sa Kamera World...and comment? Ang pogi daw, kamukha ni Alvin Patrimonio. See? Di lang si Edu Manzano na artista ang kamukha, kundi pati basketball player. Sa Dec27 ang ika9th day ng pasiyam or padasal, ang mga pari ng Imus ay nagkaisa na magoffer ng mass for Jojo sa house ng tatay at mama. You are really loved. Madaming nagdasal at nagdadasal sa iyo. Mamiss kita walking from your haus to the gate na laging nakatungo. Sign ng pagiging mapagkumbaba. Super bait, wala kang maririnig na reklamo at sumbat. Tahimik lang si Jojo pero lahat nasa ayos. Miss n love you brother Jo.

Bata pa kami ni Jojo, talagang saving money ang hilig nya...reason? pag may gusto syang bilhin, mabibili nya. I remember ng introduce nya ako to teach piano lesson. Naghihiraman kami ng piano books at piano pieces. Minsan nagkakasalubong kami sa Las Pinas (area ng students namin) at kumakain kami ng hard boiled egg as snacks. Cowboy, di mayabang, simpleng tao si Jojo. Hindi sya yung may kinakampihan, parehas lagi. Humiling ka, kung kaya nya, ibibigay nya ng walang kapalit. Mapagkumbaba. Kuya Jojo sobrang proud ako sa iyo. Bilang my older brother siya ay palabiro,pala ngiti,mabait na kapatid, maalalahanin, so many good traits di ko na maisa isa, tulad ng sinabi ng kuya Boy pag may binalak bilhin pinag sisikapang pag ipunan talaga. Ako naman kasama lagi ng Kuya Jojo sa palengke ng Cavite City noong high school pa ako, mahilig kasi sya sa imported clothes. Alam mo naman Kuya Jojo that I’m a person of few words, but deep inside my heart, you know that I love You and miss you and I always will... Ang Kuya Jojo, a brother, a friend, an accomplice (hehe) talagang barkada. Walang lihiman. Determined and brave, talagang fighter. Story ko na di ko malimutan, nasa elementary grades pa kami, isninama ako sa lumang palengke pa noon, para ituro lang ang laruan na gusto nyang bilihin. For months halos araw araw nya pinupuntahan, sabi nya bibilhin nya. Pinag-ipuan nya talaga. Kami lang nakaka alam, naglako talaga sya ice candy (ice buko) para lang mabili ang Train na de battery, ganyan sya ka determinado. My husband died peacefully last Sunday, December 18, 2011. He doesn't want to leave us but he has no choice. Masakit sa akin but I feel na mas masakit para sa kanya. Ayaw pa niya tayong iwan kaya lang wala siyang magawa. The physical pains he has experienced and the emotional feelings he has kept within his heart that he's dying is more painful for him to accept. Until the last breath of his soul I felt that he is still begging for his life...

Those past few days that we spend together were those moments that he's trying to comfort me...letting him go so that we can move on...his sweetness, his rudeness. He cannot eat, he cannot drink, more often he vomit and still he's concerned for me is to take care of myself.
