Guarini, Joseph G., 64, owner of Robert's Barber Shop on Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston for 42 years, passed away, Monday, July 9, 2012 at Kent Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anne-Marie (Day) Guarini for 34 years and a son of the late Frank and Marianna (D'Antuono) Guarini. Mr. Guarini was a member of the RI Army National Guard, St. Rocco's Bowling League and was a communicant of St. Catherine Church. A generous person, he enjoyed golf, was a gourmet chef, and an avid sports fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael J. Guarini and his wife, Ludmila; a daughter, Laurie Marie Guarini; a brother, Frank Guarini and his wife, Donna; and a sister, Maryann Madonna and her husband, Robert. He was the uncle of Joseph Guarini, Bianca and Robert Madonna. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. His funeral will be held Thursday, July 12 at 9:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine Church, Post Road, Apponaug at 10:30 am. Burial with military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Catherine Church, 3252 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
