Joseph Mynyk, age 63, of South Scranton, passed away Thursday at the Riverside Rehabilitation Center, Taylor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 3, 1948, Joseph was the son of the late Michael, Sr., and Velma Thurman Mynyk. Surviving are his siblings, brothers, Michael, Jr., and Lee Mynyk, and sister, Marie Altemeir; and several nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank the staff of the Riverside Rehabilitation Center for all of their care during his stay. Private funeral arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, West Scranton.
