Joseph R. Wilson, 16, of North Grafton, passed away early Saturday morning December 18th , 2010 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Joey was the beloved son of Richard Wilson of Mendon, and Alison (Smolinski) Wilson and Michael Noel of North Grafton. Joey also leaves behind his sister Brianna May and nephew Luca of Milford. He leaves his maternal grandmother, Avril Judson Smolinski, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Grafton, his maternal grandfather, James Smolinski and his wife Joanne of Syracuse, NY, his paternal grandparents Jay and Eleanor Wilson of Mendon, and paternal grandfather Richard Harris and his wife Samantha of Texas. Joey also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins, and a special family friend, Uncle "Animal" Brett Lawley. Joey was born in Worcester, MA on April 12, 1994. He was a lifelong resident of Grafton. He was a junior at Blackstone Valley Tech in Upton, studying in the Auto Body Shop program. As a young boy, Joey was a cub scout, played the piano beginning at age 3, played the saxophone, and began playing guitar as a teen. He often showcased his musical talents during recitals and holiday celebrations. He participated in the Grafton youth soccer, baseball and Pop Warner football programs. Joey made his First Communion at the Evangelical Congregational Church of Grafton. Joey had a lifelong love of all motor vehicles, and had owned 20 vehicles during his lifetime, including his prided 1965 Chevrolet Impala, and a Harley Davidson Sportster, as well as many tractors that he happily rode up and down Route 122 when he was younger. Joey loved fixing cars and trucks, riding his motorcycle, working at Richie MacKoul�s, hanging out with the boys at Noel Motors, and being with his family and pets. Joey was known to all to be a kind, caring, compassionate and loving person. His wonderful friends supported him, and he them, through all times. He touched so many lives during his time with us, both young and old alike. Joey will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joseph Richard Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of the Grafton Suburban Credit Union, 86 Worcester St, North Grafton, MA 01536. All are invited to calling hours Wednesday December 22nd from 3 to 8 pm at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. North Grafton MA 01536. Funeral Services will be Thursday December 23rd at 10 am in Liberty Church, 495 Hartford Turnpike (Rt. 20) Shrewsbury MA 01545. Joey will then be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
