said you did so many nice things for her and Uncle Angelo....You did plumbing and put up their celing fan....we miss you....When I drive my car, my lights work now...just a few weeks before you left us, you saved me money and as busy as you were, you fixed my front light...We had so much fun laughing at your jokes at Brunos just a few weeks before you left us....I will never forget that day.....We spent 4 hours at Brunos for a Sunday brunch, a few cousins, your mom and Uncle Joe....We miss you, I cry for you...I wish you would have gone to the Doctor when I advised you..however your words were clear "I am fine" You lived just like the frank sinatra song...."I did it my way"

Dave Thygeson turned me onto "The Dealer" Joe and I worked and lived at his station for the summer of 1970. (No not drugs!!) I worked 12 to 14 hrs. a day. He would open and I would close. He would run out IN THE RAIN and jump into the puddle by a customer’s car (with his bow tie and chevron hat on). "Fill it up?" Then break out the comet cleanser to clean the oil off the windshield and wipers. I know he made a deal with the lord and he kept it.

I knew Joe in the 1980's when he was my awesome Mechanic. I was always impressed with his honesty, since of humor and love of Frank Sinatra. I have very fond memories of him when I first moved to Pacific Beach and appreciated his friendship very much. Sadly I have not seen him in many years and was very sad to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace Joe. May God Bless you and take you home

I knew Joe for many years, going back to the 60's. I use to walk by on Garnet Avenue with my little daughter in the stroller on the way to her day care. I would see him on his motorcycle getting ready to open his business.

He treated me and my old car with such care and respect. I always felt good when I left his service station. He was such a gentlemen and a hard worker. I went by to catch up on the news in Pacific Beach with Joe recently. Sadly, I did not know this would be my last visit with Joe. May you rest in Peace Joe.

Knew Joe through my Father & Brother in laws(Bill & John Bossard)...I always stopped by to chat every time I was in Sandyeggo....I'll miss his unique personality....RIP, Joe!!

We are deeply saddened to learn of Joe's passing. He was my mother's neighbor for many years and I have known Joe since I was in my early 20's. He was always there to help and watch over my mom.W Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

We were taken aback when we heard of Joe's passing. He stayed in touch with us via his calendars etc. We looked forward to his Chevron Calendars every year.I'm sure he'll be missed by all. Our sympathy to the family.
