May 31, 2010; beloved husband of 53 years to Cesarina (nee Spotti) Ruggeri; devoted father of David (Christel Lenau) Ruggeri and Linda (James) Miskines; loving grandfather of Christina, Michael Ruggeri, Julia, Anthony and Rebecca Miskines; son of the late Antonio and Teresa Ruggeri; dear brother of the late Bianca Formenti, Aldo and Mario Ruggeri; also survived by many nieces, nephews and family in Italy. Joseph first came to the United States from Cremona, Italy in 1952 as part of a skilled worker exchange program sponsored by the US Government. In 1956, Joseph began working at the Ford Motor Company and later the Buffalo Forge Company as a tool and die maker where he retired in 1987. The family will be present on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at GRECO FUNERAL HOME, 2909 Elmwood Avenue (near Sheridan Drive) where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Anthony of Padua Church, 160 Court Street, Buffalo at 9:30 AM. Entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
