Joseph Stello passed away on June 25, 2011, losing his six year battle with prostate cancer, spending the last two years resting and enjoying his summer home in La Quinta, CA. Joseph was born on June 18, 1933 to Catherine (Caterina) Cosmano Stello and Bruno Stello in Punxsutawney, PA. He was the youngest of 13 children; survived by three brothers and one sister, Frank, James, Anthony and Josephine. His Daughter, Katrina Mariea Stello and his four grandchildren; Joseph Andrew, Caterina Janalyn, Samuel (Sammy) Bruno, Sophia Maria Domonique. He was a mentor and inspiration to all; we will miss him greatly. God has brought Joseph home to be reunited with his son, Domonic Anthony Stello. Joseph was President of Stello Real Estate, inc. and has been a realtor for 47 years. His second passion in life after family was the Antelope Valley, where he called home and made his career as a land broker and also was a member of the Greater Antelope Valley Realtor Assn. The Antelope Valley became his home after being stationed at Edwards Air Force Base during the Korean War. Visitation will be held from 4:00 -7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 6th, with Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 P.M. at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals & Cremations; 44802 N. Date Ave., Lancaster, CA. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; 45027 N. Cedar Ave., Lancaster, CA. His final resting place will be at Joshua Memorial Pk; 808 E. Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA; burial to immediately follow Mass. Donations may be made in Joseph Stello’s memory at the YMCA in Lancaster, CA
