Joseph Travisano of West Haven died peacefully October 25, 2012 at Connecticut Hospice. He is the husband of Marie Germe Travisano. Father of JoAnn (Alan) D'Auria, Mark Travisano, Anthony (Patricia) Travisano and Jacqueline (Steve) Tracey. Brother of Nancy (Theo) Keramas and Pasquale (Rose) Travisano. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Joe was born in New Haven November 29, 1928 to the late Antonio and Elvira DeMaio Travisano. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Joe began his career as the owner of Joe T's Used Furniture and Antiques. He was a member of the Santa Maria Maddalena Society and the West Haven Italian American Club. The Travisano family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Connecticut Hospice for the care they provided to Joe. His funeral will leave the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11 Wooster Pl. Monday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent dePaul Church at 10. Burial with military honors will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford, CT 06405. DUE TO IMPENDING WEATHER FROM HURRICAN SANDY MR. TRAVISNAO'S FUNERAL MASS HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31, 2012 AT 11AM IN ST. VINCENT dEPAUL CHURCH. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH FOR THE MASS.
