Joseph Turro, 61, of Hampton Township, died Monday, August 2, 2010, at Morristown Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Born in West Orange, Joe was the owner/operator of Brink Road Builders in Wantage and was a builder throughout Sussex County for over 27 years. An avid deep sea fisherman, Joe loved to cook and entertain his family and friends. He was the life of the party and everywhere he went he made a friend. Joe will be sorely missed. In keeping with Joe’s loving and generous spirit, he was a tissue and cornea donor through the New Jersey Sharing Network. The son of the late Stephen and Josephine Verrico Turro, Joe was also predeceased by his brother, Carl, and sister, Josephine. He is survived by his wife, Fiona, whom he married in September of 1983; his daughter, Colleen Turro Longo and her husband, Brody, of Brick; his triplets, Carly E. Turro of Hoboken, Joseph P. Turro of Hoboken, and Matthew S. Turro at home; three brothers, Stephen Turro of New Bern, North Carolina, Louis Turro of Deerfield, New York, and Ralph Turro of Wantage; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Joe’s life will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010, at the Club House at Greentree Village, County Road 605 (Sparta-Stanhope Road) in Sparta. Family and friends are invited to bring pictures and happy memories of Joe. Memorial donations may be made to NJ Sharing Network Foundation, Attn: Marsha Kefer, 691 Central Avenue, New Providence, NJ 07974, the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691 or Morristown Memorial Hospital, Gagnon Unit, 100 Madison Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07962.
