Joseph V. Bressi, 86, formally of Wyomissing, passed away 23 October, 2011, at 1100 a.m. at Sunrise Assisted Living in Annapolis Maryland. He was the husband of Phyllis F. (Christman) Bressi for 61 wonderful years.

Born in Kaiser PA on October 27, 1924, he was the son of Joseph R. Bressi and Theresa A. (Syko) Bressi. Joe was a 1942 graduate of Kulpmont High School. Joe served on PT Boat 159 in the South Pacific during WWII. Following his serve in the US Navy, Joe was a PA State Trooper for several years. He retired after 20 plus years with Nationwide Insurance.

Mr. Bressi was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his daughters, Chrisan (Bressi) Herrod and Colleen F. Murphy, Annapolis MD; three sons; Joseph R. Bressi, Sinking Spring; John C. Bressi, Panama; and James A. Bressi, Galesville, Wisc; seven grandchildren and one great grandson.

A life tribute will be held on Friday the 28th of OCT at 6 PM at Atonement Lutheran Church in Wyomissing PA, followed by a family and friends reception at the Inn at Reading at 7 PM.
