Josephine Adams Clark, 96, formerly of Giles Drive, in Great Bridge, passed away on Saturday, Aril 9, 2011, at Allzwell Assisted Living. Josephine was the widow of W. Archie Clark and retired as an accountant from Civil Service after 20 years. She was a 20 year member and Sunday School teacher of Lafayette Presbyterian Church of Norfolk. She was a member of Chapter 1682 of N.A.R.F.E. where she served as secretary and on the membership committee. Her hobbies were arts and crafts and she was an avid gardener. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Hughes and husband Ron; three granddaughters, Wendi Nixon of Elizabeth City, NC, Julie R. Nelsen of Chesapeake, VA and Anna Rovolis of Savannah, GA; and five great grandchildren, Joie, Matthew, George Jr., Connor, and Shelby. She was predeceased by a son, William Edward Clark. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Allzwell and hospice. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Pastor Phil Dowdy.
