JOSEPHINE (JO) ROSE JELSO
Age 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Christmas Day, 2011. Jo enjoyed bowling, dancing, and was active into her nineties. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Annunciation Church. Jo was born in Buffalo, NY and was one of nine children. She is survived by her children; Donald Jelsomino and wife, Doris, of Dubuque, IA; Joseph A. Jelso and wife, Donna of Albuquerque; Elaine McMann, and husband, David of Los Ranchos; grandchildren, Jessica McMann, Amy Jelso, Christie Timmerman, husband, Dr. Timothy Timmerman, Martin Dimmitt, wife Tamara, and Brian Dimmitt; brother, Anthony Leone of Buffalo, NY, as well as many nieces and nephews in Albuquerque and Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Jelso. Visitation will be on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at French Mortuary on 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, 87112. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church at 2532 Vermont NE, 87110, with Fr. Voorhies as the Celebrant. Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 1900 Edith Boulevard NE, 87102. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association of NM at 615 Virginia Street SE, 87108. The family would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Canyon Transitional Rehabilitation Center and Hospice Compassus.
