Josephine L. "Jo Jo" Carver, Gladstone, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, at her home. Josephine was born in Kansas City, KS, to Agnes (Sevart) Renner and William N. Renner. She attended Manual High School from 1941-1943. She worked for Dolly Madison and A & P Bakeries from 1946-1960 and Marcon Mfg., 1970-1986. Josephine gave of her time in many ways, collecting money in many neighborhoods in Gladstone, MO, to donate for the establishment of Oak Grove Park, making bears for Children's Mercy Hosp., making quilts and hats for the City Union Mission. Her hobbies included quilting, fishing, camping, and bowling. She was a member of the Gashland Presbyterian Church for 48 years, teaching Sunday School and VBS for many years. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and six sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Carl D. Carver, Gladstone, MO; two daughters, Regina M. Taylor, KCMO, Carletta Dee Carver, Gladstone, MO; and one grandson, Jason Taylor-Ohmes, KCMO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice (9237 Ward Parkway, Ste 300, KCMO 64114) or a charity of the donor's choice in Josephine's name. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Gashland Presbyterian Church, 8029 N. Oak Trafficway, KCMO 64118. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
