I was thinking of my Auntie’s expression when I showed up to visit with her & brought her a rose or a carnation for her to enjoy. I will treasure those moments all the days on this earth. They are so very precious to me. We know she is at home with Our Lord & Savior;probably dancing up a storm with Uncle. Surely, when she received her promotion to Heaven & entered those gates, Uncle stood waiting there saying “what kept you so long my love”-No body home. Maybe the interpretation of the fireworks shooting off that night wasn’t so much of Auntie’s departure, but maybe it was the thunder & pounding of Uncle’s heart as he stood to welcome her & embraced her once again.
