Josephine Webb, 83, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

She was born on February 14, 1926 in Thealka, Kentucky the daughter of Floyd and Myrtie B. (Skeins) Pierce.

Jo enjoyed sewing, church activities and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and retired from the Community Hospital after twenty-five years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer and her parents.

Survivors include her children: David (Janet) Webb, Robert (Teresa) Webb, Kenneth (Vicki) Webb, Ann Roach (Todd Holland), and Becky Webb (Chris Evans); grandchildren: Julie Swank, Scott (Nikki) Webb, Brandie (David) Clark, Tami (Chad) Reiser, Jennifer Roach (Brian Fent), Robert (Yajaira) Roach; great grandchildren: Jordan, Delaney, Gabriel, Alex, Lauren, Carson, and Milagros. Special friends: Mary, Thelma, Edna, Dorothy, and Mardella.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the care and compassion Jo received from the ICU staff.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Rose Hill Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
