Age 96, of Albuquerque passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, with Rev. Trey Hammond Pastor of La Mesa Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Joy Barnett was born August 29, 1915 in Alma, Oklahoma to Thomas and Birdie Mobley. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 52 years, Elmer O. Barnett and sister, Tommie Jean Batey. She is survived by her two daughters, Janis Bender and husband, Gary of Houston TX., Linda Wingate and husband Harold of Amarillo, TX.; four grandchildren, Loralie Snow, David Wingate, Amie Murphy all of Amarillo, TX and Michael Bender of Houston, TX; six great granddaughters, Holly Wingate, Megan, Meara, and Aibhlinn Murphy, Laramie Snow of Amarillo, TX and Amber Wingate of Barksdale A.F.B, Shreveport, Louisiana; two great great grandsons Jonathon and Brandon McCandless.
