Joy Crouch 89, long time resident of Liberty, MO, passed away December 29, 2011. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of greater Kansas City. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday January 4, 2012 at the Liberty United Methodist Church 1001 Sunset, Liberty, MO, with visitation from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Joy was born December 12, 1922 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to W. Terrell and Bealuh (Speaker) Scarborough. She was a graduate of Liberty High School and attended William Jewell College. She was a women of many talents; sharing these talents with her family, her church, the Liberty Hospital Auxiliary, as a Girl Scout Leader and a National officer of her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. Joy was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, A. Jay Crouch, and her parents. She is survived by her brother W. Terrell Scarborough (Jean) of Parsons, KS; her children Tim Crouch of Parpon Florida; Tam Smith (Bob) of Overland Park, KS; Jamie Crouch (Stephanie) of Piano, TX; John Crouch of Excelsior Springs, MO; grandchildren Sally, Lora, Amy, Grant, Aly, Terrell and A.J and 8 great grandchildren.
