Joyce’s life began on March 10, 1937 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Homer and Francis (Maiden) Behnke.

She was united in marriage to Lloyd Clendenin on September 27, 1952 in Allegan. Joyce was employed by Rudy (Sundstrand) Manufacturing for 24 years. She loved her animals and gardening around their Decatur home. Joyce enjoyed shopping and going garage sale “treasure? hunting.

Her greatest joy was her family which includes Lloyd (Vicki) Clendenin of Dowagiac, Sandra (Bernie) Jurgenson of Dowagiac, Markle (Carole Lee) Clendenin of Benton, IL and Denise (Mike) Bouldrey of South Bend, grandchildren Eric, Erin (Brian), Jamie, Jodi, Jason, Christina, Stacy, Will, Greg, Jennifer (Mark), and Adam, several great grandchildren, sisters Elaine (Hershel) Howell of Ohio, Nancy Bellitto, Carol (Max) Anderson, and Sue Tucker, all of California and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce passed away at her home on Friday October 23, 2009.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd in 2009, daughter Pamela Lynn Thomas in 1993, grandchildren April Lynn Hunsberger in 1979, and Nicole Marie Bouldrey in 1995 and great grandson Morgan Clendenin in 2004.

Her family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Joyce will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.

Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the family in care of Mike Bouldrey.
