Joyce Drewry Giarmono Berry, 88, passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. Born in Sedley, VA, she was the daughter of the late John and Lottie Drewry. She retired from civil service as a Computer Analyst. She was a former member of Highland Baptist Church, Portsmouth. She enjoyed family, friends, traveling and playing bridge. Joyce is survived by her grandson, D. Anthony Giarmono and wife Lisa of Suffolk, VA; two great grandsons, Joseph and Thomas Giarmono; sister, Mary Lee Holland; nephew, Jimmy Holland; niece, Faye Hobbs and her childhood best friend, Pearl Juel of Franklin, VA. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
