Joyce Guildner Sorensen 1931-2011

Joyce went to be with our Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 14, 2011. Joyce was born in Grant, Nebraska. She married Darrell C. Sorensen on December 23, 1952. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She devoted her life to God, her family and all her many friends. She was very active in Women’s Aglow International, Bible Study Fellowship and she taught many bible studies. She was an avid reader and loved to play cards. Joyce will be missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mark Holmes, of Baton Rouge, LA., her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Diane Sorensen and their children, of Orange County, CA., and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was like a second mom to her granddaughter Sarah Struyk. Joyce will join her late husband, Darrell Sorensen, her daughter Susan Jardine, and her parents, Percy and Queena Guildner, who preceded her in death. Please join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Mountain View Memorial Estates (3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT., 84121). Viewing begins at 12:45 pm, service starts at 2:00 pm. The family extends thanks to Alpine Home Care and Hospice for their selfless and exceptional care during her final days.
