Juanita Pipkins, 89, a resident of Caldwell, Texas and former resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, died on the morning of Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Bryan, Texas.

The daughter of Hollie & Lilly (Vincent) Bishop, Juanita was born on December 30, 1919 in Lutie, Oklahoma. She married Orvie N. Pipkins, Sr. and spent her life being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sons: Neal & wife, Pam, Wesley & wife, Terry, Charles & wife, Aki and Tim & partner, Onnie. Also surviving are her daughters: Sheran & Walt Sanders, Paula & Ken Bartnesky and Anita Skupien. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and by her sister, Odessa Hale.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Orvie N. Pipkins, Sr., a grandson, Andy Skupien, and by two sisters: Elizabeth Mitchell and Lucille Clark.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 in the Okmulgee Cemetery, Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave. Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.

Funeral arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas and Shurden Funeral Home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
