Judith Eger Gills, 66, of Hobe Sound, Florida, died April 16, 2011 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Harper House, Stuart. Florida.

Born in Tampa, Florida, she lived in Hobe sound for 15 years.

Before retiring she was a registered nurse, practicing in, trauma and ICU care, private duty nursing and home healthcare. She also worked with the homeless.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hobe Sound where she was the head of the prayer chain.

Survivors include her husband William Kennard Gills of Hobe Sound; sons Jonathan Kennard Gills of Delray Beach, Florida and Matthew L. Gills of Hobe Sound and a sister, Kaye Eger Stotler of Paradise, California and 2 grandchildren.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on April 19, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes – Young and Prill Chapel, Stuart. There will be a service at 1:00 PM on April 20, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park, Palm City.
