Judy I. Turpin, age 79, of Mena, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 in Mena.
She was born July 16, 1933 in Mena, Arkansas to the late George Mason Kemp and the late Leota Bell Kemp. She was united in marriage to Billy A. Turpin. She was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Turpin was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Survivors are:
Son: Dewayne Turpin and wife Patti of Alamogordo, New Mexico
Daughter: Karen Murphy and husband Fred of Mena, Arkansas
Grandsons: Charley Turpin
Caleb Turpin
Billy Turpin
Mark Mabry
Granddaughters: Sarah Turpin
Jessica Swanger
Shannon Camacho
Ten Great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leota Bell Kemp, husband Billy A. Turpin, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Beasley-Wood Chapel with Brother Dewayne Turpin and Brother Danny Minton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Alton Dollar, Ira Armstrong, Harley Sullivan, Billy Turpin, Rusty Lewis, and Mark Mabry.
Honorary pallbearers will be her Ten great-grandchildren
Visitation is General.
