Judy J. Hitchcock, 64, of Inlet, died on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on June 28, 1948, in Duncan, OK, daughter of the late James Fender and Marella Morris Bowers. Judy married Tim Hitchcock on April 22, 1967 in Moore, OK. She worked alongside her husband and family at Tim's Super Duper in Eagle Bay, later known as Dan's Big M. Judy had many interests and pleasures. As a member of the Inlet Golf Club, Judy enjoyed playing golf with her friends and husband, whom she often outplayed. She loved travelling and seeing different places, meeting new people and visiting family and friends around the country. Judy spent winters in Florida and enjoyed quality time with her husband and having fun and socializing with her many good "southern" friends. She loved theatre and, at different times in her life, was actively involved in local productions. Her love for old movies was unmatched, Elvis was truly the "King" to her and Judy unleashed her creative side through crafting. Ultimately, however, the most important thing to Judy was her family. She was a very beautiful, loving, and caring woman that would do anything for her family's happiness. She dedicated her life to her four children, attending every event, always being available for them when they needed her and gently guiding when necessary. She adored her grandchildren and cherished all the time she spent with them. She is survived by her husband, Tim of Inlet; children, Lori Hitchcock of Albany, Jennifer Gaffney of Inlet, Daniel Hitchcock and his wife, Heidi of Eagle Bay and Dianna Ste-Marie and her husband, Ron of Inlet; grandchildren, Kyle and Bailey Hitchcock-Powers, Jamie Gaffney, Bryce Ste-Marie, Addison, Courtney and Natalie Hitchcock; two sisters, and a brother all of Oklahoma, several nieces, nephews and many special friends. The family would like to thank all of their friends for the support they have shown through cards, flowers, food and well wishes. They would also like to thank Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services (IVES) and the Hamilton County Hospice for all the support. The family would like to extend special thank you to Harold Hitchcock for all of his nursing skills and guidance. Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering to celebrate Judy's life on Thursday, July 26, beginning at 3:00 at the Hitchcock's home at 500 N. Rt. 28, Inlet. A blessing will be offered at 5:00 and then food and refreshments will follow. Arrangements are with the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Old Forge. In lieu of flowers, please consider American Cancer Society, Hamilton County Hospice or IVES in memory of Judy.
