Julia M. Garrison, 65, of the 4400 block of Bainbridge Blvd., Chesapeake, VA, passed away May 9, 2011, in her home. A native of Holly Ridge, NC, she was the daughter of the late Rodell and Bessie Murvin. She enjoyed playing Bingo. She is survived by her eleven siblings, Dorothy McDowell, Kathleen Bessimer, Rodell Murvin, John Murvin, Joe Murvin, Hazel Sanders, Jimmy Murvin, James Wilkins, Jr., William Wilkins, Bessie Rouse and Mary Boyd; her boyfriend, Gary Wagner; and many nieces and nephews. A service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Greenlawn. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel is handling the arrangements.
