Julia Mae Clark was born November 6, 1948 to Herbert and Bennie Louise Dibble in Tomlinson Hill, Texas but was primarily raised by her Step-Father Melvin Ray Harris Sr. She grew up in Tomlinson Hill, TX and attended Cameron, TX Public Schools. She graduated from O.J. Thomas High School and obtained her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Prairie View A& M University in Houston, TX. She married James Ray Clark Sr. and to this union three children were born: LaShunda Michelle, LaShea Monique and James Ray Jr. (Jamey). During her early age she professed a hope in Christ. She continued to walk hand and hand with God until her demise. She was a faithful follower of Christ and was active in many church organizations during her life. She was a Sunday School teacher, Announcement Clerk, Matron of the children's Choir, Pastoral aid and planned many church programs including Pastor's and Church anniversaries. Julia enjoyed many things during her life, she especially enjoyed traveling with her son Jamey playing baseball throughout the State of Texas, listening to La Shea playing the piano and cooking various dishes with LaShunda and various family vacations she went on and most of all enjoying time with the love of her life James Ray Clark Sr. and spending time with her grand kids. Julia was a retiring nurse of the Veterans Administration of Temple, TX where she worked for 41 years most as which were as a Head Nurse. She was a faithful nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple, TX where she honorably served the veterans of Central Texas and the Temple, TX community. She was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years James Ray Clark Sr., mother Bennie Louise Harris, father, Herbert Dibble and step father Melvin Ray Harris Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories three devoted children, two Daughters LaShunda Michelle (Melvin) Powell-Thomas of Temple, Texas LaShea Monique Rodrick) White of Grand Prairie, Texas one son James Ray (LaShenda) Clark Jr. (Jamey) of Desoto, Texas six grandsons Quentin Jamal Powell of Temple, Texas Ryan Marquis Powell of Temple, Texas James Ray Clark III of Desoto, TX Jamarion RayShawn Clark of Desoto, TX DeMarcus Jeremiah White of Grand Prairie, Texas Jeylon Raymond Clark of Desoto, TX and one Great Grand Daughter Davajionay Naomi Pennye one sister Patricia (Richard) Batiste of Ovilla Oaks, TX, two brothers Melvin Ray Harris Jr. of Tomlinson Hill, TX and LouGene Dibble of Waco, Texas and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
