Julianna M. Martinez, of Stoneham, age 25, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Hospital Mexico in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Julianna was born on October 23, 1985 in Malden, one of three daughters of Mario Martinez and the late Joan (Kochocki) Martinez.

Julianna was raised in Stoneham and graduated with the class of 2003 from Stoneham High School. After recently moving to Costa Rica, she worked in the family business, Hotel Puerto Sans Luis, in Tilaran, Costa Rica. Her family will forever remember her love of cooking and photography. Julianna loved her family, had a big heart and was a free spirit.

She was the devoted daughter of Mario Martinez of Stoneham and the late Joan (Kochocki) Martinez. Loving sister of Anne Marie Martinez & her husband Dimar of Costa Rica and Lisa Martinez & her husband James Beattie of Stoneham. Cherished granddaughter of Helen Kochocki of Saugus and the late Stanley J. Kochocki. Beloved aunt of Jarred Munoz and Jeyla Munoz both of Costa Rica.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose on Sunday from 2:00 – 6:00. Gifts to honor Julianna’s life may be made to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
