June was a resident of Southfield for 35 years, formerly of Ferndale and Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Madison High School and attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison. June received her RN degree from Methodist Hospital Nursing School. June practiced nursing in the Detroit area for many years. She was an active churchwoman at Highland Park Baptist Church in Southfield, working and supporting international students and missionary outreach and care. June enjoyed gardening, going to the farmer's market, world travel and photography. She was an incredible homemaker and excelled at cooking and baking. She also enjoyed needlecrafts. Beloved wife of the late Paul M. Jensen. Dear mother of Carol E. Jensen, David P. Jensen (Joan) and Ruth A. Jensen. Grandmother of Todd (Jennifer), Bille (Stefania), Christian, Matthew (Kathryn) and Jessica. Great grandmother of Cole, Emma, Annette, Adrianna and Matthew Lyght. Sister of the late Flossie Hodge, Marian Collins, Lillian Rumple, Horace Woodward, Orville Woodward and John Woodward. June is also survived by her faithful companion, a Labrador named "Clyde" Memorial service Friday, March 15th 10:30am at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile), Royal Oak. Family will receive friends on Thursday, 6:00 – 9:00pm. Memorial tributes to Highland Park Baptist Church, 28600 Lahser Rd., Southfield, MI 48034.
