Mrs. June Marie Perry

     When I was a little girl I loved to go to the beach with Grandma and Jill. Mom and Grandma would pack ice chests and all our toys- plastic buckets, little shovels and boogie boards. It was the best to have her offer me sliced cantaloupe or a baloney sandwich after spending hours swimming in the ocean.  It's hard to put into words what an impact she had in my life- all the great childhood memories she helped to create; what a positive force she was in our family. 
     She was so good and kind and funny. More than one person has called her a saint, and a big part of her influence on us all has been her faith. She raised us Catholic. She put all of her 7 kids through Catholic School. She traveled to holy places and always had a special love of Mother Mary. But she is saintly in how she cared for all of us too. Who of us doesn't have a memory of a time when June was kind to you? Or when she fed you? Or when she listened to you and you felt heard by her? Or when she worried for you? Or when she made you laugh? 
     Her warm personality always shone through and it was always so nice to be in her company. She was a delightful person to talk to and share stories with. She was always such a good listener and she was kind and fun loving. As an adult I loved to share my pictures and adventure stories with her. 
     She had a special relationship with each of us. We are all connected to each other by our love for her, and her love for us.
    Grandma, we all are better for having been loved and cared for by you. The love and care that you have given to each of us is a treasure. You will always be in our hearts.

My Mom: I remember Mom making mash potatoes, gravy, and green beans. I remember Mom giving us pots to fill with blackberries and then she would make blackberry cobbler. I remember Mom putting on a beautiful red chiffon dress that my Dad bought for her. I remember my Mom making me the most beautiful Christmas dress ever. I remember her correcting me for hitting my brother. I remember going to the beach together and taking Joel and Erica and Jill. I remember Mom having the great birthday party for me Ken Jill and Joel. She listened to everything I had to say. My Mom is the best. She was also my best friend and my hero. From her example learned patience, forgiveness, perseverance, I learned faith in God, and how to trust in Jesus. Our family has been blest. Mom brought beauty and peace to her surroundings and to all she meet. Joyce

My mother-in-law June is an inspiration to me. She accepted me into her family with open arms and I love her for that. Her unselfish love, kindness and caring ways were her best qualities. She will always be saint in my heart.

We made a lot of great and loving memories with June and had fun taking her out on little day trips to Los Angeles to see the sights. I remember taking her to Felipe’s Famous French Dip Deli and then walking all around China Town. She was a trooper and never complained. I am grateful for these times we shared.

I am sure she would want us all to know that there is no sorrow in heaven with our lord and that she is at peace joined once again with her loving husband Charlie who is with her at last.

Thank you June for making a lasting impression on me, my family and especially your daughter Jill who your kind spirit shines through.
