Jurline "Jerri" Howell went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 3, 2012 at the age of 91. Jurline was born on July 6, 1920 to Frank Samuel Nelson and Cleo Birdie Thompkins in Celeste, Texas. Jurline loved being with children including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as the many children who passed through the doors of the day schools she owned and operated. Over the years, she enjoyed her church, wonderful friendships, and playing Rummikub and bridge. Jerri and her husband enjoyed traveling and were blessed to see many wonderful places around the world. She will always be remembered for her gracious hospitality and the countless chocolate pies she lovingly made for family and friends. Jurline was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Howell and son, Garry Ledbetter. Jurline is survived by her twin sister, Alline Allen of Plano; sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Saundra Ledbetter of Arlington, Terry and Laurie Ledbetter of Dallas, Karen Ledbetter of Southlake; stepson and daughter-in-law Ben and Nina Howell of Dallas; stepdaughter, Penny Howell of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 – 4 PM, Sun., Feb. 5, 2012 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Mon., Feb. 6, 2012 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.
