Funeral services for Karen Sue (Wolz) Zgabay, 63, of Caldwell, are set for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Rev. Todd Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at St. John�s Lutheran Cemetery in Deanville. A visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011 also at the funeral home in Caldwell. Mrs. Zgabay passed away January 24, 2011 at St. Josephs Regional Health Center in Bryan. Pallbearers will be Trent Groce, Tyler Groce, Ben Wolz, Kevin Supak, Rick Bivins, and Brian Serafine. Honorary pallbearers are Lancier Brinkman, Emmitt Wolz, Linwood Beran and John Smith. Karen was born February 21, 1947 to Lanceer Wolz and Isabelle (Devlin) Wolz in Bryan, Texas. Karen is survived by; sons and daughters-in-law, Cody and Tracey Cavin of Caldwell, Zachary and Natalie Zgabay of Deanville; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Jeff Groce of Caldwell; brothers and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Wolz of Deanville, Bobby Serafine of Houston, Billy Serafine of Houston; and grandchildren, Tyler Groce, Trent Groce and Kennedy Cavin. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Doc Zgabay. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund.
