KARIN ROWLAND COOK
COLUMBIA - Memorial service for Karin Rowland Cook, 40, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Karin, wife of Stephen Frederick Cook, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 after an extended illness. Born on July 11, 1971 in Columbia, she was a daughter of Dale B. Rowland and step-daughter of Glynn G. Goforth of Columbia. Glynn and Karin enjoyed a mutual loving and caring relationship for the past seventeen years. Her biological father, Steve R. Rowland, is also of Columbia. Buckley, Jr. (Julie) of Cayce; great-aunts, Margaret Briggs of Columbia, Ava Lee Edwards, of Chapin, as well as a number of loving cousins. Karin has enjoyed a relationship with and is survived by step-children, Brandon Cook, Amanda Cook Rasmussen (Ray) and a beautiful step-granddaughter, Lola, all of Columbia. Although born an only child, Karin was blessed to have a special sisterly relationship with Kimberly Goforth Hilbert (Andy) and her family.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors of South Carolina Oncology Associates and Palmetto Health Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Karin during this difficult time.
