Katherine Clay Berryman Arnaud, 75, passed away to Heaven July 8, 2011, at 11 to 11 p.m. at Virginia Beach Health Care and Rehabilitation Center on Camelot Drive in Virginia Beach, VA. She was born February 22, 1936 in Ashland, Kansas. Katherine was the daughter of Anne Roach Clays Berryman (Danville, KY) and George Albert Berryman (Ashland, KS), and graduated from Ashland High School in 1954, valedictorian of her class. She was active in drama, choir and band, and church and was known as "leader of the Social Pack" and friends with many. She graduated from Kansas University (K.U.) in 1959 with a master's degree in mathematics. She met Donald Minnet Arnaud in Danville and was married July 30, 1960. She separated from Donald and pursued master's degree in "Music Therapy" from K.U. She divorced in 1971, and moved to Virginia Beach to pursue her interests in the Edgar Cayce readings. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church, which was Edgar Cayce's church. She helped to compile the readings for the books "Jesus the Pattern" and "The Christ Consciousness," two books in the Edgar Cayce Library Series. She said that "if you use Jesus as a 'ruler' (yardstick), you'll never be a failure in life." She is survived by her children, Anne Minnet Arnaud of Virginia Beach, VA, Donald Minnet Arnaud of Papamoa, New Zealand, Clay Berryman Arnaud of Virginia Beach, VA; and her brother, George Chandler Berryman; and sister, Anne Porter Berryman. A memorial service was held July 14, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, located at 300 - 36th St., Virginia Beach, VA. The service was officiated by the Rev. Albert G. Butzer III. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center, Virginia Beach, 757-491-2846 and Hope Haven Children's Homes, Virginia Beach, 757-427-1500, two of the many local charities that she contributed to.
