Katherine Louise Heins, 68, passed away April 25, 2011, in Norfolk, Virginia. She was born in Aberdeen, MD, March 09, 1943. A retired Civil Servant, Katherine was working in the College of Business and Public Administration at Old Dominion University. She is survived by her son, Bernard Ciamarichello and wife Robin of Jacksonville, FL; and Katherine's daughter, Lisa Gay Heins of Chesapeake, VA; along with Katherine's former husband and close friend, Bernard Heins of Appomattox, VA; brother, Wallace Bare and wife Wanda of Waynesville, GA; two sisters, Margaret Ann McKenney and husband Dan of Chesapeake, VA, and Wanda Kean and husband Tom of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Kate Bare; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her brother, Howard Bare; and her pet cat Tiger. A memorial service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ellen Comstock officiating.
