Katheryn "Kitty" Reeves Jean, 77, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 14, 2007 at her home.
She was born June 11, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Thomas Hal
and Helen Alice (Grayson) Reeves. She was a homemaker and President of Reeves Land and Timber Company. She was a member of Jackson Street Church of Christ, PEO, Quota Club International, and the local and state Republican Party. She was a former Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts, Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America, a former Justice of the Peace for Columbia County, Chairman of the Columbia County Election Commission, Director of Farmers Real Estate Inc. and numerous other community organizations.
She is survived by her two sons, Hal Jean and wife Regina of Magnolia, Arkansas, Lane Jean and wife Judy of Magnolia, Arkansas; one sister, Ann Reeves Eddy of Magnolia, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Cale Jean Magnolia, Arkansas, Ty Jean of Pittsburg, Texas, Seth Jean of Magnolia, Arkansas, Gray Jean of Magnolia, Arkansas; one step granddaughter, Kelli Taylor and husband Mark of Magnolia, Arkansas; and one step great grandson, Charles "Charlie" Lane Taylor of Magnolia, Arkansas; one nephew, Tony Eddy and wife Betty of Magnolia, Arkansas; one great nephew and great niece, Cole Eddy and Caroline Eddy of Magnolia, Arkansas; numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m.Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Jackson Street Church of Christ with David Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia City Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Family visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials by be made to American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Club of Magnolia, Arkansas, or Jackson Street Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Randy Clary, Barry Wallace, Ron Betts, Larry Terry, Steve Duke, and Buddy Jordan.
