We were so sad to hear of Kathryn's passing. She was a great influence in our lives. We have such fond memories of going to her home for visits. We were so sad to hear of Kathryn's passing. She was a great influence in our lives. We have such fond memories of going to her home for visits. Her door was always open, as we even stayed overnight a few times. She somehow knew when Karen was expecting our first child, Stephanie, even before we did. "There is just a special look on her face when a mother is expecting a child", she said. After a 10 1/2 year wait for Stephanie, we were glad to learn that Kathryn was correct! She loved us like her own children and was always interested in what we were doing. We will miss her so much! We rejoice in the gospel knowledge that she is reunited with Reed and Julie, and all her brothers and sisters. Don't you know there is a lot of visiting and "catching up" going on in the spirit world this week--and maybe even a game or two of Dirty Rummy. We wish all the family peace and fond memories of our special Aunt Kathryn.

When Mark and I first moved to Rivera Circle we were serving in the singles Ward, so we didnt know anyone in the neigborhood. It was a surprise then, that they put Mark in as the Bishop of the Riveria Ward. With Kathryn as the Relifsociety President, she was his life line to everything going on. They spent countless hours together, and she showed the best of what selfless service really is. My son Jacob who was at the time

They spent countless hours together, and she showed the best of what selfless service really is. My son Jacob who was at the time 5 or so; asked me who that Lady was that Daddy liked so well? I should have told him, "that Lady was an angel". We soon became fast freinds, and my children looked to her as thier own grandma. She took me under her wing and taught me so many things, amoung the least her love of serving others and not thinking of self. I loved her very much! I didnt enjoy being the Bishops Wife, so one night at a Relifsociety social when there were alot of new people, as we were going around the cirlcle Introducing our selfs, I introduced my self as Kathryn Johnson. While ohters were laughing; she next to me said, without a smile "well I guess that makes me Sharon, the Bishops wife!" She always told me to watch her house when she was gone, and if someone was taking stuff out of her house call the police! But if they were taking stuff out of the garage, help them! Kathryn IS on our list of most beloved and important friends in our life time. She is very near and dear to both Mark and I! We love her so much!
