Kay Terry Johnston was born January 19, 1945 and went to be with Her Lord July 3, 2011. Kay was born in Fort Worth, graduated from Arlington Heights High School and attended Texas Christian University. She worked for ReMax Realtors for 30 years in Carrollton. Kay was a strong Christian woman serving her family, community and church, Prince of Peace Church Carrollton, with selflessness and devotion.
She is survived by her loving, adoring husband Kenneth Johnston, her mother Kittie Herring, her father James Terry, children Kimberly Johnston Ott and her husband Gary Werner, Kristen Johnston Wylie and her husband Mark. She is also survived by the joys of her life, grandchildren Joshua Ott and his wife Amber, Jacob Ott, Katherine Elizabeth Nicole Ott, Katherine Ann Wylie, and Caroline Joyce Wylie. She also leaves behind her brother James Terry, his wife Darlene, and an extended family who held her in very high esteem.
Kay was an extraordinary person. Her selflessness, caring heart and generous spirit were evident to all those she knew. She loved Jesus with all of her heart and spent her life ministering, helping and giving to others. Kay studied and enjoyed learning the Bible and passing on this love of God to those around her in the way she lived.
Kay will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but the many lessons she taught us about how to live a gracious life will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church from 6-8PM Thursday July 7, and Funeral Services 11AM Friday July 8 at Prince of Peace Church in Carrollton, at 4000 Midway Road, Carrollton, Texas 75007.
