KELLY SPICER, age 92, Demossville, died Monday, August 15, 2011 at Edgemont Healthcare. Born in Breathitt County, June 4, 1919 to the late Pryce and Hannah McIntosh Spicer, he was retired from Southern Railroad, a United States Army veteran and a member of the New Macedonian Regular Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Johnson Spicer; numerous brothers and sisters; a stepson, Bill Whitaker; two grandchildren, Ronald Spicer II and David Hedgespetch and a great grandson Joel Spicer. He is survived by four sons, Ed (Donna) Spicer, Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob (Shirley) Spicer, Alexandria, Ronnie Spicer, Dayton, and Kenny (Goldie) Spicer, Cold Springs; four daughters, Ellen Hedgespetch, Dayton, Imogene (Joe) Thompson, Elsmere, Sharon (Larry) Linville, Demossville and Sandy Spicer, Cynthiana; twenty three grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Friday at New Macedonian Regular Baptist Church, 1143 Central Avenue, Newport, Kentucky by Pastor David Turner with visitation at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Campbell County.
