Kenneth Alvin Hauck, 63, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Arkansas Hospice . He was born on April 11, 1943, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late Wilmer and Elizabeth Craig Hauck. During his eight years of service in the United States Air Force, Ken served in Vietnam where he participated in Operation Ranch Hand. He was awarded various decorations including three Purple Hearts, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Airmans Medal, the Bronze Star and the Silver Star. Upon completion of his military service, Ken became an air conditioning technician. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 155 and worked at the VA Hospital-Fort Roots until he retired. Ken was a member of Fellowship North Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Cady Hauck; daughter, Kelli Mills and husband Charles of Southlake, Texas; daughter, Terri Hippensteel and husband Curt of Morrilton, Arkansas; sister, Barbara Ingemi and husband Basil of Bridgeton, New Jersey; brother, Kyle Hauck and wife Lenore, of Sarasota, Florida; brother, Dean Hauck and wife Boo, of Lake Mary, Florida. He was Pawpaw to five grandchildren: Charlie, Emily, and Sara Mills; Max and Sam Hippensteel.

The family would like to express their many thanks to his doctors and Arkansas Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. 4210 77th Street East, Palmetto, Florida, 34221 (www.guidedogs.org), in memory of Ken and Shadow, his faithful companion for seven years.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, AR. A public graveside service will be held on Monday, October 30 at 9:00 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. A celebration of Kens life will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Fellowship North, One East 52nd Place, North Little Rock, AR. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
