PETERS, KENNETH ALLEN
Age, 86, a resident of Los Lunas, died Thursday, December 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Peters of Los Lunas, NM; son, Ken Peters of Los Lunas; sisters, Dorothy Bolton of Monticello, NM. and Lois Elliott of Albuquerque; and other relatives and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Allen and Lois Ann Peters; five brothers; and one sister. He was born in Las Vegas, NM in 1925 and entered the United States Navy, at the age of 17, and served proudly in Air Squadron VJ 13 on Guadalcanal and Leyte in the Philippines during WWII. Kenneth worked at Sandia Labs for 33 years, retiring in April 1990. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011, 10:00 am at French - University, 1111 University Blvd NE, with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating. Private ennichment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
