Kenneth C. Olson, 86, of 421 N. Lake St., Ishpeming, died peacefully at his home Sunday, January 1, 2012 after many years of declining health. He was under the care of the angels at U.P. Home Health and Hospice. Kenneth was born April 12, 1925 and was a lifelong Ishpeming resident. He enjoyed a career as a mining engineer for Cleveland Cliffs. Ken was very involved in Ishpeming politics and will fondly be remembered for his active participation in Ishpeming City Council meetings. He enjoyed entertaining at his camp on Lake Michigamme. All who loved Ken will miss his kindness, wit, charm and smile. Honoring his request no services will be scheduled. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are kindly asked to consider U.P.
