Kenneth Gene Daron "The Gene'O", 51, of Cascade, MD, died at 2:05 A.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD. Born May 10, 1960 in Fort Knox, Kentucy, he was the son of Dale A. and Mildred E. (Burrows) Daron of Flushing MI. He served in the United States Marine Corp. in his early years. "Geno'O" was an executive chef, previously working at the Orchard's Restaurant in Chambersburg, PA for many years. A great lover of the outdoors, he loved fishing, wildlife watching and gardening. Cooking was his passion, which was inspired by his Grandma Daron when he was young. He loved his dogs, kids, and most especially, his companion, Debbie L. Naugle of Cascade, MD and her two children, Trevor C. and Lindsey R. Naugle, who thought of him as a second father. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his five sons: Kristopher Daron and his companion, Lisa Baker, Waynesboro, Gregory Daron and his companion, Gretchen Shearer, Waynesboro, Steven Burton and his companion, Amy Taylor, Greencastle, PA, Isaac Daron, Waynesboro, and his step-son: John Kline Jr., Waynesboro; Two daughters: Glenda Daron, Waynesboro, and his step-daughter: Crystal Kline, Waynesboro; four brothers: Tim, Bruce, Jeff and Scott Daron and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro, PA. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Sunday afternoon, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
