Kenneth Lee Sherwood
Kenneth Lee Sherwood, 81 of Beaver went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2011. Born May 4, 1930, he was the son of Stires William Sherwood and Cleo Garten Sherwood.
Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He was employed with Vecellio and Grogan and Green Construction as a heavy equipment operator. Kenneth was a member of the Cranberry Baptist Church where he served as a usher.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by Nadine Carter, Tressie Zepp, Kessley Sherwood, William Sherwood and Nova Jean Keatley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Nancy Sherwood of Beaver; sister Junia Wygal; brother L.E. Sherwood and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Cranberry Baptist Church. Following the service, Kenneth will be laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The men of Cranberry Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 12 – 2 PM at the church.
The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Cranberry Baptist Building Fund, 201 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
