Kenneth Wayne Bowman died on September 26, 2010 in Irving, Texas following a long illness.
Ken was born to Mary Lou and Bill Bowman on May 9, 1949 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington and began his career as an architect in Dallas, Texas. He continued practicing architecture in Raleigh, North Carolina where he and his family lived for 17 years.
Ken loved building all kinds of things - tree houses, bike ramps, decks, furniture, and various inventions for the family dogs. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers fan.
Ken was a gentle and loving father and husband. He was known for his eternal optimism and happy nature.
He is survived by his wife Margie, daughter Erin Bowman of San Diego, CA, son Bill Bowman of Austin, TX; brothers Jack Bowman of Dallas and Quinten Jon Bowman of Plano, TX, Rex Bowman of Odessa, TX, and a sister Linda Bowman of Blanchester, Ohio.
