Kermit G. Peterson , 84, of Milliken, was called home October 6, 2010. He was born August 28, 1926, in Duluth, MN to Oscar and Delia (Bergstrom) Peterson. He grew up and went to school in Stanchfield and Braham, MN. Kermit was inducted in the Army in 1953 and honorably discharged in 1955. He married Lois Edblad on April 11, 1959 in Ogilvie, MN. He farmed in Braham, MN. In 1980 he moved with his family to Loveland, CO. Kermit worked as a groundsman for the R2J Thompson Valley school district, followed by owning the The Bookbinders in Loveland from 1988 to 1999. He retired in 2001. Kermit is survived by his wife Lois E. Peterson, sons Keith and his wife Linda Peterson of Cheyenne, WY and Kevin and his wife Bonnie Peterson of Firestone, CO, five grandchildren Patty, Jessica, Kent, Alexis, and Honor, and four great-grandchildren, Megan, Abigail, Oryn, and Mylo, and his sister Helen Anderson of Cambridge, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Kenneth, Robert, and Oscar of Minnesota and one sister Margaret Lindquist of Minnesota and several nieces and nephews. Kermit was a member of Life Spring Covenant Church in Loveland, CO. Viewing will be at Resthaven Funeral Home in Loveland, CO on Wednesday, October 13th from 6-8pm, and 1 hour prior to the funeral service at Life Spring Covenant Church on the 14th. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 14th at 10am at Life Spring In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Kermit's special niece, Sharon. Memorial Contributions may be made to Steve Olson Memorial Fund in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy. 287, Fort Collins, CO. 80525.
