Kimberly Kay "Kim" R. Smith, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at age 49 after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of Judy Redenius, and the late Russell Lee Redenius. Fiance of Donald H. Grodsky. Sister of Brian K. Redenius, Jeffrey L. Redenius (Julia), and Melissa D. Campbell (Brian). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Kim graduated from UNO in 2007 with a BS in finance, and held numerous licenses as a financial planner and personal trainer. She was also the operations manager for the gym at the Jewish Community Center in Metairie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 3:00PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Community Center, 3747 W. Esplanade Ave. N, Metairie, LA 70002.
